Nose
enhancement surgery (rhinoplasty) is one of the most popular and rewarding
of all plastic surgery procedures. Nose enhancement surgery covers a wide
range of aesthetic areas as it can improve the contours of any part of the
nose by removing a hump, reducing the size of the nose, changing the size,
shape or position of the tip of the nose or nostrils or even straightening
or augmenting the bridge of a nose that has been traumatised or previously
operated on.
Breathing problems can also be corrected at the same time that an
aesthetic or reconstructive rhinoplasty is performed. Rhinoplasty
(sometimes in conjunction with Septoplasty (to repair the septum of the
nose)) can be used to correct a birth defect or rectify an injury, or to
enhance breathing. Septoplasty or reconstructive rhinoplasty are generally
performed simultaneously with cosmetic plastic surgery aimed to improve
the appearance of the nose.
